SHIELD (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use the SHIELD mobile application and related services.

• Account Information: Email address and authentication credentials required to create and secure your account.
• Vault Content: Photos, videos, documents, and notes you choose to store in your private vault. We do not access, scan, or analyze the content of your files.
• Usage Data: Anonymized app usage statistics and crash reports to help us improve performance and reliability.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and support purposes.

• To provide, maintain, and secure your private vault and account.
• To authenticate you and protect against unauthorized access.
• To send essential service notifications (e.g., security alerts, account changes).
• To improve app performance and fix technical issues.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or vault content to third parties.

Your vault content is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption. Files are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls and row-level security policies. Only you can access your vault content through your authenticated account.

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

• TLS encryption for all data transfers.
• Authenticated access controls on all storage buckets.
• Row-level security (RLS) on database records.

You have the right to:

• Access, update, or delete your account information.
• Delete your vault content at any time.
• Export your data before account deletion.
• Request account deletion, which will permanently remove your data from our systems.

We retain your account and vault content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or specific vault items, we permanently remove the associated data from our systems within 30 days.

We use trusted cloud infrastructure providers for hosting and storage. These providers are contractually bound to maintain confidentiality and security standards consistent with this policy.

SHIELD is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us to have it removed.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email. Continued use of SHIELD after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
